What Is ELOS Sublative Rejuvenation?

By Jennifer Yount, Licensed Aesthetician

ELOS Sublative Rejuvenation from Syneron is the latest treatment for skin rejuvenation and I have been extremely impressed with the results my patients here at Hull Aesthetics are getting.  This treatment is safe enough and purposefully designed for use in the immediate eye area.  Yes, we can treat right up to the lower lash line and create a true tightening, toning, and wrinkle-smoothing effect in the delicate eye area that other treatments simply won’t allow.

What is Sublative? The ELOS Sublative treatment uses focused energy to help refine not only the surface of the skin, but, even better, it bypasses the upper layers and gets right down to the collagen at its source.   This is HUGE when wanting to create a significant change in the skin! As we age, it’s the lack of collagen that creates the laxity and sagging in the skin.  Because the ELOS Sublative gets down to the source, the results will actually continue to improve!

What does it treat? Laxity, acne scars, textural irregularities, moderate wrinkles and loss of elasticity.  This treatment takes less than an hour. It’s non-surgical, it’s safe for all skin types and there is no peeling involved.  It creates a significant change in the skin!  My patients feel that it’s less downtime than some chemical peels.

Three sessions are recommended, spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results, but my patients are seeing great results even after just one session. The team at my office has been very impressed, too!

There is so much more to this exciting new treatment and I’m thrilled to be able to offer this at Hull Dermatology and Aesthetics! If you are interested in the latest skin rejuvenation treatments, please come learn about this exciting new treatment. Consultations are complimentary.

How To Treat Sunburn

Even with the best intentions, we sometimes get sunburnt. In this month’s video, you’ll find out what dermatologists recommend to soothe a painful sunburn. The first thing you’ll want to do, of course, is get out of the sun.

You’ll also learn:

  • What to apply (andSunburn definitely not apply) to your skin for relief
  • Steps to take if you blister
  • When to seek immediate medical care

This helpful video from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) contains helpful information for treating sunburn.  Some things to know:

Even mild sunburn can cause psoriasis to flare. To protect your skin, use a fragrance-free sunscreen. Fragrance can irritate the skin and cause psoriasis to flare.  Dermatologists recommend that everyone, including their patients who have psoriasis, use a sunscreen that offers:

  • SPF 30 or higher
  • Broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) protection
  • Water resistance
